Movie Review Tyler Perry's 'Daddy's Little Girls' tugs at the heartstrings

By Jesse Jeudi
Most movies involving child custody look at it from the perspective of the mother but in "Daddy's Little Girls," director Tyler Perry shows us the other side of the story.
Idris Elba plays Monty, a father of three little girls, who is willing to do whatever it takes to gain custody of them from a mother who seems more interested in herself than the welfare of her children.
Elba's character was great because he gave everything and did everything to get his kids back.
I love this movie because it shows how some parents actually love their kids and would do anything for them or anything to have custody if issues happen. I would recommend it to people because it may show parents that you wouldn't want your children to go through this.
Besides Elba, the 2007 movie also stars actress Gabrielle Union--yes, the current Mrs. Dwayne Wade---as the love interest.
Actress Tasha Smith, who has been featured in several of Perry's films, this time plays the mother of the girls who is more interested in her live-in boyfriend, who happens to be the neighborhood drug dealer.
